Brighton Project:

GRP Terrace Roof & Roof Lights in Brighton

For this Brighton terrace, access and detailing complexity made GRP (fibreglass) the standout choice. We stripped the old coverings, replaced degraded decking, and introduced a warm roof specification with tapered insulation to shed water towards new outlets. The GRP laminate provided a seamless finish around balustrade stubs, pipe penetrations, and a pair of low-profile flat roof lights.

We installed colour-matched trims, renewed fascias & soffits, and upgraded the guttering to maintain a consistent appearance. The client requested a non-slip finish at the maintenance path; we incorporated a mineral walkway compatible with the laminate. Adjacent pitched elements received minor roof repairs, including ridge re-bedding and replacement of cracked tiles.

All works were documented with photos and stage sign-offs. We performed water testing, verified laminate thickness, and supplied a written guarantee. The result is a durable, clean-lined re-roof that improves thermal performance and daylight. We also provided a brief maintenance guide: keep outlets and roof lights clear of debris, avoid dragging heavy items over the surface, and schedule an inspection after severe weather.

In Brighton we regularly install GRP, EPDM, and felt systems—choosing the right material for the building, not the other way round. If you’re considering warm roofs, skylights, or addressing persistent leaks, we’ll survey quickly, explain options clearly, and deliver a neat finish that performs as well as it looks.
