Eastbourne Project:

EPDM Overlay & Insulation in Eastbourne

In Eastbourne, exposure to sea air had aged the original covering. Our survey showed the deck was sound, enabling an EPDM overlay with a warm roof upgrade. After cleaning and priming the substrate, we installed a vapour control layer and PIR insulation, then applied EPDM with approved adhesives. Perimeter and corner trims were fitted to suit the parapet heights, giving a sharp, modern line.

We added a fixed flat roof light over a utility to draw in natural light and replaced the guttering run to manage sudden downpours effectively. Fascias & soffits were renewed to complete the envelope. We performed essential roof repairs to the adjacent tiled area, re-setting slipped tiles and renewing a lead chase.

To ensure longevity, we checked seam bonds, confirmed insulation continuity, and conducted a water test. The client received a written guarantee and a visual handover report. EPDM in this setting offers low maintenance and dependable performance, while the warm roof reduces heat loss and internal condensation risk.

Our Eastbourne projects often mix materials—GRP for complex detailing, felt where overlays make sense, and EPDM for large, continuous areas. We help homeowners choose the right balance between performance and budget, then deliver the installation with tidy workmanship and clear communication.
