Steyning Project:

GRP Dormer & Roofline Renewal in Steyning

This Steyning project focused on dormer refurbishments and roofline renewal. We used GRP (fibreglass) on dormer crowns for precise detailing around cheeks, with trims forming smart drips and upstands. Warm roof build-ups were installed to improve comfort in the rooms below. We renewed fascias & soffits in uPVC, paying attention to ventilation pathways, and replaced the guttering to correct historical overflow at corners.

Where a small canopy benefited from a different approach, we installed a three-layer felt system—cost-effective and robust. We also carried out minor roof repairs to the main pitched elevations, swapping cracked tiles and tidying mortar at hips and ridges. A compact flat roof light was introduced over a landing to bring daylight to the centre of the home.

Our quality process included GRP laminate checks, felt lap testing, and controlled water runs to verify drainage. The client received a written guarantee and a photographic record. As experienced roofers, we recommend GRP for intricate detailing, EPDM for large continuous spans, and felt for overlays or budget-led areas. The result is a neat, high-performing re-roof that blends well with the property’s character and offers straightforward maintenance over the long term.
