Recognise Any Of These? A New GRP Roof Can Fix Them.

Most homeowners put off getting their flat roof looked at. A slow leak becomes a saturated deck. A saturated deck becomes timber rot. What could have been a repair becomes a full replacement, at two or three times the cost.

Persistent leaking

If water is tracking into rooms or staining ceilings after it rains. GRP helps by forming a fully seamless, bonded shell with no joins for water to penetrate.

Blistering or cracking

If your existing felt is lifting, bubbling or splitting across the surface. GRP helps by curing into a rigid, inert membrane that cannot lift, blister or crack.

Pooling water

If water is sitting on your roof and not draining away after rain. GRP helps by allowing correct falls to be built in, directing water away from the surface properly.

Condensation

If rooms below the roof suffer from cold spots or condensation on the ceiling. GRP helps by working with warm roof insulation to eliminate condensation at the source.

Failed repairs

If patches keep coming back and the same areas are leaking repeatedly. GRP helps by replacing the entire covering in one go, removing the cycle of patch repairs permanently.

Age and weathering

If your roof is over 15 years old and has not had a recent inspection. GRP helps by providing a new covering that lasts in excess of 20 years and is resistant to UV, frost and coastal weathering.

The right solution

GRP fibreglass: the right system for most flat roofs

We use RESTEC GRP systems, chosen for outstanding long-term reliability. As Icopal-approved contractors, every installation follows a strict quality process: lap checks, controlled application and a final water test before we leave the site.

20+ Year lifespan

A correctly installed GRP roof will outlast most other flat roof systems with minimal maintenance required.

10yr Guarantee

Every installation comes with a written workmanship guarantee, backed by LF Flat Roofing directly.

Seamless membrane

The entire roof surface is covered in a single bonded shell with no joins for water to penetrate.

100% Water-Tested

Every GRP roof we install is water-tested before we leave site, so you know it is watertight from day one.

Frequently asked questions

Find answers to common questions about our flat roofing services.

How long does a GRP roof last?

When properly installed, a GRP fibreglass roof lasts in excess of 20 years. Unlike felt, it won’t degrade from UV exposure or crack in cold weather. Our installations come with a 10-year workmanship guarantee.
GRP is ideal for smaller roofs with details, angles and penetrations; it forms a seamless bonded shell. For large open spans, EPDM can be preferable. We’ll advise honestly on survey based on your specific roof.
It depends. We assess the substrate on survey. If it’s sound and level, an overlay may be possible. If the deck or insulation has been compromised, we’ll recommend a full strip.
In most cases, no. Re-roofing is permitted development. We’ll flag any exceptions if they arise on your survey.
Yes, we recommend adding PIR warm roof insulation during the re-roof. It improves thermal performance, eliminates condensation risk and avoids a second mobilisation.
Prices vary by size and complexity. We provide a fixed written quote after the free survey, no hidden extras, no surprises.
